Prof. Dr. Syarifuddin, M.Soc.Sc.Ak., CA., CWM
Syarifuddin is a professor of accounting from Universitas Hasanuddin. He obtained his doctorate in 2010 from Univeristas Brawijaya. He is active as a researcher and consultant. Syarifuddin is an expert in government accounting and development administration. This can be seen from his various researches, such as: Decorating Biodiversity Accountability Report in Indonesia Local Government (2020); Village Development Planning Discussion in Indonesia: Is It Working? (2019); Accrual Basis Landscape: The Absence of Political Will in Preventing Dysfunctional Behavior in Indonesia (2018). His latest book was published in 2020 with the title Regional Government Strategic Planning (Concepts & Guidelines).

Dr. Muhammed Abdul Khalid
M. A. Khalid obtained his PhD from the Institut d’études Politiques de Paris, France, and holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Malaya and a bachelor’s degree of Science degree from University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He has served as a consultant for the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. He was Director of Research at Khazanah Research Institute, Head of Economics at the Securities Commission Malaysia, senior analyst at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, and Senior Technical Advisor at the UNDP Malaysia. Muhammed is the author of the bestselling book; Colours of Inequality. published in 2013, which provides an alternative angle to the debate on inequality in Malaysia by looking at the distribution of wealth or assets instead of income.

Dr. Liu, Day-Yang
Day-Yang Liu obtained a PhD degree from Tulane University in 1988 and is now a professor of the Graduate Institute of Finance at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He has held many academic positions, including University Chief of Staff and Department Chairman of both Business Administration and Finance. Now he serves as Director of both the Center for the Study of Lottery and Commercial Gaming, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Over the years, Dr. Liu has completed more than 100 research projects for government agencies and various industries, and his work has also appeared in many peer-referred scholarly journals. On November 29, 2008, he established The Center for the Study of Lottery and Commercial Gaming, the only research center of its kind in Taiwan, to promote the legalization of the commercial gaming industry, the casino and lottery in particular. Now he is collaborating with several adjunct scholars to help the county government of the outer island of Matsu realize this initiative.

Dr. Steve Bakalis
S. Bakalis’ academic background is in the area of international economics education and management, which includes Innovation and capability development in higher education. He has played a key role in the development and coordination of international business courses in Malaysia, China, and Thailand. Bakalis was a Programme Director in the Ministry of Higher Education in Oman (2006-2008) where he led the establishment of a School of International Business, educator and researcher in Victoria University Melbourne, Australia (1990-2012), Visiting Research Fellow in University of Adelaide, Australia (2012- 2016), and more recently international strategy advisor in Central University of Finance and Economics Beijing, China. He is curently living in Melbourne, Australia.

Prof. Evangelos Afendras
E. A. Afendras is the international ambassador of Peneleh in Greece. Afendras graduated from The John Hopkins University, majoring in humanities-linguistics (1961-1968). With teaching experience going back to 1966 and spanning many countries (Albukhary International University Malaysia, Kasetsart University Thailand, Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, etc), Afendras has developed a deep interest and a personal perspective on learning. As a teacher or trainer, he emphasises the empowerment of learners through negotiation of objectives and content, through the joint choice of projects and problems from a platform of enquiry-based learning. Having entered the Pacific and Asian region in 1970 through multicultural Hawaii, he likes to tease some of his Asian students that though a Greek, he has lived in Asia much longer than they have. He hopes to continue putting his experience to use in areas such as education for refugees, poverty reduction and sustainable development.
